Here’s what really works…

You must create a product that people want to buy, in a niche that’s in demand today.

Here are the steps for determining what people are really looking for that you:

1)  Go to Google and Yahoo and type in ‘top keyword searches’ and search for the keywords that are most searched…

2)  Type ‘article directories’ into Google or Yahoo and find a list of article directories…

Go to the topical section of the keywords you found in (1) and find out which subtopics are receiving the most article views…

3)  Search for those subtopics on Google and Yahoo and notice how many ’sites are available for each subtopic…

How much sponsored advertising is being done?

Go to inventory.overture.com and find out how many searches are done monthly for each of the subtopics…

4)  Go to Google and Yahoo and look up forums + your subtopic…

Go into the forums and ask people what they think is the most needed product for their niche…

When you follow these steps you’ll soon notice a pattern developing in people’s interest for the subject you’ve chosen.  Fill the gap that needs to be filled by creating a product that people WANT to buy and they will buy!  Don’t worry too much about competition, that’s if someone else has the same type of product as you.  The internet is huge my friend, and if you can market your product/website you dont have to worry about competition.  Just do the market research, create a product, fill the needs of others, rinse and repeat!!

There are many different ways to make money from blogging and benefit from a successful blog. The first important tip to follow if you really want to make money from your blog is to make sure you have the proper title. Having the wrong title or improper title that conflicts with your blogs content can damage your ability to make money from your blog. Be sure to use a title that is catchy but properly coins the point of the blog. If your blog is about dogs it should mention that in the title or directly refer to it in some way. Your title should always be clear and concise. This is vital if you wish to make money with your blog. The second tip to make money with your blog is to double check your information. You can not have any errors in your blog if you wish to make money. Your blog should have accurate information for your readers. It also makes your blog more difficult to find and search through if there is too many incorrect spellings. The third tip to make money with your blog is blog often. You must be persistant with your blogging if you want to make some serious money doing it. You should blog at least once a day or more. You need to build up a fan base of people that enjoy reading your daily posts. It is the secret to a money making blog. The fourth tip to make money from blogging is to keep what your are writing about rich in content but to the point. You do not want to babble on and on losing your readers interest. Quality content is the key to making money from blogging. You have to draw readers to your blog daily to generate money.

It is always great to be able to reflect back on what we did over the past year so we can learn and grow from it before making goals for the new year.

Whilst writing or making money online period might seem like a daunting task it doesn’t need to be if you follow these simple steps this year.  Lets start fresh, and more importantly start every day like you’re starting fresh.  Bright eyed and bushy tailed every day eager to face todays challenges.  Theres no doubt you’re going to learn something, as you always will.  But if you’ve finally decided to take thing whole online making money thing seriously, then its time to wake up and dont make the same mistakes as you did tomorrow.  Prioritize what is most important right now, and go with the flow but focus while doing it.

For most aspiring entreprenuers, we don’t know where to start and have no idea on how to start the writing process. And why I keep saying writing is because to make money online you have to write.  At least the way I know how to, that works best for me.  And Im just starting! So let me make this endeavor a lot easier for you. Follow these Goals for 2009 and you are guaranteed to help improve your writing, and therefore make more money online than you did in 2008:

I Establish my objectives…

What do I want to achieve? Do I want to earn money from them or am I using this as my stepping stone so I can advance further in my niche?

The clearer my objectives, the better your income will be.

I Pick my topics….

I will dabble in something I know very well and it must be something that truly interesting to my potential customers.

I like what Im writing about and make work enjoyable as much as possible.

My products will sell like hotcakes online because I write quality information that is helpful to other people, who are reading what they expected to, and will benefit from it.

I Create compelling titles for my products….

I will capture my customers attention through my titles.

I create headlines that are enticing and follow the WIIFM rule (whats in it for me). They are short, direct to the point, well written, and keyword rich.

I Write for my readers….

I know who my readers are  so you can easily make your content targeted to their needs and demands. Aside from their profiles and  target to their needs. I identify pressing issues, aspirations, the things that they would like to achieve and their most frequent questions.

I make my writing readable.

My ideas flow smoothly and my content promotes continuity.

I will make an outline that will guide me throughout the writing process. My content is easy on the eyes.

This year will be the best year to date! Keep positive and stay focused.  Best words of advice!

Yes you’ve just been revealed the biggest secret of making money online.

Focus + Visualize = Goals + Prioritize = Productive + Take Action = Make Money

That’s basically it, seems pretty straight forward huh?  Well that’s because it is!  Like they say though, easier said than done.  Which is why 95% …or is it 99% now? …well either way, “90 something” fail to make money online.  Why? Because they don’t do the tasks like the ones I showed you above, so they just give up like its too hard or impossible or just isn’t for them. Well any of those thinking processes will never get you anywhere anyways, but if you change your mindset, and start taking those “little steps” seriously, you will then start to see some serious cash.

Believe me when I first got into the make money online field, I couldn’t get focused.  I was listening to this guru, that guru, another guru, every guru and got information overload and didn’t take action.

I wasn’t able to pick a project and stay focused and finish it.  I would read an e-book or take some information from someone and try and put that information to use to make money for myself online.

Some of them had great information in them and I could make money from the information and I would start that project.  The problem was that I would never finish a project.  I wasn’t focusing and I wasn’t being productive.  I was still twiddling my thumbs, doing this, reading that, and then getting that next big idea that was going to make millions!  And then getting half way there and moving on to the next big hype or whatever it was that showed up in my inbox that guaranteed a six or seven figure income.

I was always searching for something better.  I was always looking for the next big thing.  I was looking for something that didn’t exist.

I was looking for something that didn’t require hardly any work and was going to make me a millionaire overnight.

There is no product that is going to do this for you!

I had the information in my hands to make a hefty living online.  I just wasn’t using it.  I wasn’t staying focused on a project long enough to see any returns.

I was lied to, like most people who get into the make money online hype.  We are told by people who want to sell their products to us, that we will make a million dollars overnight and don’t have to do much work.

Guess what, you won’t make that kind of money overnight and it does take some work.  What you should do is pick out some projects and finish them.

Once you start finishing your projects, whatever they may be, creating a product, building a website, writing sale copy etc. The money will start coming in. But before you even start these projects, you need to have a plan.  Im sure if you’ve been online for awhile you’ve heard Jimmy D Browns famous quote, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”, well that my friend could not be any closer to the truth.

They always say that the toughest dollar to make online is the first one. But is it the first “dollar” that you should really be focusing on?  Are you focusing on money, quick cash, and $50,000 in the bank right now!!??  Or are you focusing on planning to build a business?   Which is more important to you?  Is it that $50,000 in the bank right here right now, or is it a long term business plan that will earn you $50,000 over and over and over again?  First decide which is more important, and then go from there.  And if you’re thinking what I’m thinking, which is obviously the system that will bring you long term residual income, then you need to set up a business plan to get you there.  This business plan doesn’t have to be something you take to the bank, no no..In fact it can be something as simple as;

1. I want to start building a list.

2. I want to create an e-book on about (whatever your niche is).

3. I want to build a blog. I want to post once a day, etc. etc. etc.

Once you focus and narrow your sights on what it is exactly that you want for your business, and then you will start to see and function more productively.  Or at least you will have been given the opportunity to, so I would highly recommend taking action on whatever it is that you want for yourself (your business).

Remember, you’re doing this not for the money, but for the lifestyle you want to live.  Your dream you want to achieve.  So focus on those personal goals as well, and figure out what you need to do to obtain those results.

For example, you want to marry your girlfriend and you need $2,000 to buy her the ring you know she’ll just love.  Well, plan this.  When do you want to propose?  3 months from now?  O.K.  So you need $2,000 in 3 months.   How are planning to make money online? Be an expert in your field.  Is it list building? O.k. then, they say each subscriber is worth $1, so if one subscriber is worth one dollar then you need 2,000 subscribers to make $2,000.  So if you built a list of 2,000 subscribers in 3 months, would you be able to buy that ring?

O.k. now I pulled that scenario out of thin air, lol..But it does get you thinking, and that’s what you really need to be doing.  Think, and write it down!  Write down your thoughts, make a plan, and take action.  Don’t worry about getting it right, just it going!  Launch now, think later! lol…Seriously though, the hardest part is the first step.  It’s like a baby learning how to walk.  That first step is the hardest, it’s the most anticipated, fearful, yet exciting step!  And once you take that first step, it just flows.  Just like the money will.

So I know it’s scary.  But in order to succeed you just have to get out of your comfort zone.  Stop doing what you’re doing because whatever you’re doing, if you’re not making money from it, then how’s it working for ya?  It’s not!  So do what you have to do now to start making money tomorrow!

It gets easier because once you have made some money online, you have broken down that first very important barrier down, and it gets a lot easier.

You realize that you really can make money online and your confidence soars!  You can just keep on doing what you were doing to make more money. Rinse and repeat. Work harder and expand your business.  Repeat what you’re doing to make money and just keep expanding on that process and keep working on ways to improve your business.

Focus and hard work is going to get you along ways in life.  Using focus and hard work to make money online is two major keys to success and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise.

Now I know I have touched on actually a few very important subjects.  I plan to really get in to the nitty gritty of all of them, whether it be time management, creating goals, building a business, choosing a niche, etc. etc…Basically all the tools you will need to make money online!!  There’s a lot of cover, but don’t let me fool you. Because it’s really quite simple.  Not easy.  Because it does take work, and some of this work may be easy for you and some of it you may have to learn, but in the end of things, it really is simple once you have someone to learn from and help you along the way.  That’s what I plan to be here for.

And who better to learn from, and to have as a mentor than someone who’s been there done that and does it over and over again?
