As most of you know, Im taking a crash course in successful internet marketing with one of the kings of Internet Marketing himself, Alex Jeffreys. I’ve been interested in the Internet Marketing genre, after years of niche marketing, and thought I’d get in on an incredible personal coaching program with Alex which started a few weeks ago.
Im excited that I can use this knowledge in every aspect of my business, and I’m learning one very important aspect of Internet Marketing in itself which is VIRAL MARKETING!!! To be successful in any niche, IM or whatever, it boils down to one thing and that’s traffic. And learning about Viral Marketing is one of the best ways to increase short and long term traffic.
Take a look at Garry Parkes post here and you will understand what Im talking about. Now if you’re an Alex Jeffreys student right now, you will directly benefit from this. If you’re not, don’t worry because your time will come! Join my newsletter and you will be informed of any special offers like the one I was fortunate enough to get in on, in regards to Alex’s intensive and motivational coaching programs.
But anyways, Viral Marketing…
This is basically the online term for word-of-mouth advertising. You do something that encourages others to spread the word about your product or something that even increases your credibility which is sometimes referred to as “branding”, quickly and inexpensively with little effort on your part. This can really create exponential growth in your message. Your message spreads in a viral form in a manner similar to spreading a cold virus from person to person. It’s that powerful!
One example of successful viral marketing is Hotmail, which began offering free e-mail accounts, with a link back to Hot Mail at the end of every e-mail message sent by one of its customers. That spread the word about the service just like a virus, with every customer being a virtual “carrier” of the message through their own contacts, and so fourth.
I hope this sums it down to the potential and increased importance it is for you to create your own viral messages, whether that be to brand yourself or your products or services. I will talk more about Viral Marketing methods in tomorrows posting. I’ve been a little slow lately, as I’ve coincidentally been touched with a different type of “virus” that’s oh too common at this time of season where I live! But tomorrow is another day, and I plan of getting at least 7 hours of sleep tonight so I can be bright eyed and bushy tailed as my 3 year old would say

Chelsea, Thanks for the great post here. Yeup, traffic generated by word of mouth is great. Its that personal reference that makes the walls come down. Additionally, wanted to say nice blog, interesting look.

Hi, my name is Paul Hamilton and I am also one of Alex’s students. I just thought I would say Hi. I have been so busy trying to catch up with everything that Alex is teaching us, I haven’t had time for anything else. Isn’t Alex fantastic ? I just cannot believe how much I am learning. I love your blog. Would you please add my site to your blogroll. Thanks Paul
Hi Chelsea,
You wouldn’t be talking about that shopping bug would you? My wife has a severe case right now
Viral marketing is the only way to go. Leveraging the efforts of others is key to succeeding online. That is why the first thing Alex did is give us an ebook that we could rebrand and distribute.
I am proud to announce that I am going to be a guest columnist for Garry’s newsletter. I am going to cover some of the technical issues and am offering my help to those that are still having problems.
I am having a video creation marathon this weekend to make tutorials for our fellow students and am taking requests. Go by my Hub page and vote on which topic you would like me to cover. If you don’t see the topic you want, go to my blog and make a suggestion and I will add it to the poll.

Hi Chelsea,
Thanks ever so much for the comments. It´s a really great feeling to have your peers critique your work in such a kind and constructive way.
I had to laugh though at the comment about gifted writing, my English master would be laughing his socks off if he read that =0)
All the best
Paull
