Do you have a real life selling story? Keyword there is selling just so you know, because if you can write a story, even your own story, in to your sales copy you will generate sales like you’ve never thought possible. The most well known popular copywriters in history will tell you this is the best approach hands down.
If you can learn this technique, you’re going to be miles ahead of your competition who try to sell online. Your customers will buy from you based on the emotion you leave them with and then justify that decision with their own logic. While it’s true you need real proof such as stats and charts to hit the logical elements of your customer’s minds, they are going to make that core buying decision based on the emotional connection you make with them. So be real, don’t sound like a robot, no one like a cold sales letter. You’re going to be a winner by just presenting the real you, so don’t just brand your name, but brand your life!
Therefore, typically the best way to make this emotional connection is through a story, best of all, your story. Think about this for a minute. As soon as someone says to you, “Let me tell you a story…” you instantly perk up eagerly to hear more. Sure, the conversation may go down a different road, but the moment it becomes a true story, people start listening.
The reason I refer to it as an true story is because we’re not trying to make up a story, we’re want to use real life stories that share the emotion which will tap into in our target market.
For instance, people love the ol’ underdog story. You know the one, about the guy (or girl!)starting out with nothing and all odds against them. But then makes it big and becomes a success, a real life hero in the minds of his or her family and peers around them. It’s a consistent winning story line and it’s beautiful if you have a story with this theme to tell.
So next time you’re trying to sell something, think about story telling. Think about your own experiences and how you have overcome obstacles in your way. Be your own hero and you will be a hero among others who read about you. Every one has a story, and your’s might not be like mine and vice versa, but as long as you can come off as being an authentic genuine person, you’re going to find that your past success stories, will also become your future ones as well!

Hello, I’m very impressed with your blog. I’m learning so much in Alex’s course but that’s only a part of the story. Now that I’m going around and seeing what the other students are doing, my education online is expanding dramatically! I would be interested in any suggestions you might have regarding my blog. Thanks
Daniel (a fellow Alex Jeffrey’s student who may be behind but really is trying hard)

Hi Chelsea!
Giiirrrrrl….what a great job you’ve done on this blog! I’m guessing this ain’t your first rodeo…LOL!
I so TOTALLY agree with what you say about telling stories…if people would just ‘GET’ that, they’d be amazed how much easier things would go for them.
I also loved your suggestions about interviewing someone to quickly create an original product. I’d heard it before, but never had anyone tell me it could be done on Skype! Now, you’d think I would have figured that out on my own…but since I didn’t, I’m glad I ran across it in your post!
Your blog looks just great…and I wish you all the best success with it!

Just introducing myself as a fellow student. Was late getting started and am still trying to catch up.
I will add you to my blog roll (when I work out how to do it!)
Know what you mean about the story line. People love true stories (see http://www.jeanshaw.com) even if the subject is pretty dismal,
If you want to check me out at http://www.jeansmenopausalmoment.com/blog and offer any advice or leave a comment it would be nice to hear from you.
Good luck with your blog and best wishes.
Jean

Chelsea: Thank you so much for commenting on my blog. I appreciate the compliments and just added you to my blog roll for Alex Jeffreys students.
BTW: I really dig your domain name: http://www.listbuildingmillionaire.com/ It really rings success! Good luck with it! As for mine, I struggled with trying to find a good name but after listening to Alex Jeffreys on the last couple of coaching sessions believe that http://www.profitpullingplatforms.com/ probably is a good reflection of what I’m striving to do as well.
